Accompanying the companies that have joined the additive manufacturing tsunami, we were present at the APS MEETINGS in Lyon (19-20 March) participating in the B2B meetings with purchasing managers from companies such as ALSTOM, AIRBUS, ARIANE, PSA or the Lyon SHU.
We have seen that this technology is of interest to companies in sectors as diverse as medical and healthcare, aeronautics, prototyping, start-ups, railways, .... and that it provides continuous innovations in materials, technology and production capacities: titanium, stainless steel, Ultem, ASA, PA12, ... This is an exponentially growing market, as demonstrated by the numerous additive trade fairs planned throughout 2018 in the French market alone.
With more than 2,000 exhibitors, the GLOBAL INDUSTRIE show in Paris (27-30 March) brought together 4 complementary events: MIDEST (subcontracting), SMART INDUSTRIES (connected, collaborative and efficient industry), INDUSTRIE (production equipment and technologies) and TOLEXPO (sheet metal equipment and solutions).
After visiting almost all the halls, we consider it essential for any company involved in machining processes, plastics, bar turning, rubber, additive manufacturing, industry 4.0, ... to attend the event if they want to boost their sales in the French market. A large number of visitors and very positive feedback from the many exhibitors interviewed.
Let's start preparing now for the 2019 edition, which will take place in Lyon (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes), France's main industrial region.
